The Simrad NSS12 EVO3S, C-MAP and HALO20+ Radar Bundle combines a 12-inch multifunction display with integrated navigation, sonar, networking and a compact pulse-compression radar system. It is designed for boaters who want charting, radar, fishfinding and onboard-system control from one marine electronics platform. The NSS12 EVO3S uses a high-performance iMX 8 processor, while the included HALO20+ radar provides up to 36 nautical miles of radar range and fast close-range scanning.
The NSS12 EVO3S provides a large 12-inch display for viewing charts, radar, sonar and vessel information. Its SolarMAX IPS screen is rated at 1,200 nits and provides wide viewing angles, making it suitable for helm installations where the display may be viewed from different positions. The system supports both touchscreen operation and keypad control, allowing the operator to choose the interface that best suits the conditions on board.
The integrated iMX 8 processor is designed to provide responsive screen transitions and fast access to navigation and connected marine systems. The display can also be integrated with compatible Simrad radar, sonar, autopilot, engine-monitoring and digital-switching equipment.
This bundle configuration includes C-MAP cartography, giving the NSS12 EVO3S a navigation-focused foundation for route planning and chart viewing. The system supports split-screen layouts and radar overlay, allowing navigation information and radar returns to be viewed together. TripIntel and automatic routing support can also assist with voyage planning on compatible configurations.
The built-in GNSS receiver updates at 10 Hz and supports GPS, GLONASS and other compatible satellite systems. The NSS12 EVO3S can store up to 6,000 waypoints, 500 routes with up to 100 route points each, and 50 tracks with up to 12,000 track points per track.
The included Simrad HALO20+ is a compact 20-inch dome radar designed to provide a current view of surrounding targets in conditions where visibility may be limited. Its pulse-compression technology provides up to 36 nautical miles of range, while beam sharpening helps improve target separation.
HALO20+ supports simultaneous Dual Range operation, allowing near and distant targets to be monitored at the same time. Its rotation speed can reach 60 RPM at ranges up to 1.5 nautical miles, providing rapid updates when operating in close quarters. VelocityTrack Doppler technology provides additional target-movement information, while Harbour, Offshore, Weather and Bird modes tailor radar processing to different operating situations.
The NSS12 EVO3S includes a built-in 1 kW CHIRP-enabled echosounder platform. The display provides two 9-pin Xsonic sonar ports and supports compatible CHIRP transducers and additional sonar technologies. Depending on the connected equipment, the system can be expanded with technologies such as ActiveTarget, Active Imaging, StructureScan 3D, S5100 and other compatible Simrad sonar modules.
A transducer is required for sonar operation. The radar and navigation functions can be used independently of the sonar installation, making the bundle suitable for boat owners who want to expand their electronics system over time.
The NSS12 EVO3S is designed to act as a central marine electronics display. It provides two Ethernet ports, NMEA 2000 connectivity, built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and compatibility with a range of connected equipment. Compatible systems can include AIS, autopilot, engine data, digital switching, audio equipment and additional Simrad displays or modules.
The system supports NMEA 2000 integration and can exchange navigation, heading, engine, vessel and other supported data with compatible equipment. CZone digital switching can also be integrated through the NMEA 2000 network on compatible installations.
The NSS12 EVO3S can be installed using the supplied bracket or through panel mounting. The display measures approximately 352 x 225 x 98 mm without the bracket and weighs approximately 3.1 kg. Its supply-voltage range is 10 to 31.2 V DC, with maximum power consumption listed at 28 W and a recommended 5A fuse.
The HALO20+ radar measures approximately 510 mm in diameter by 223 mm high and weighs about 5.9 kg without its cable. It operates on 10.5 to 31.2 V DC systems, with maximum power consumption of 29 W and typical consumption of approximately 20 W. The radar is rated IPX6 and is designed for marine installation.
This bundle is suited to boat owners who want a coordinated marine navigation and radar system rather than purchasing the multifunction display and radar separately. The combination can support recreational cruising, offshore navigation, fishing and general situational awareness where charting, radar and sonar information need to be available from the helm.
Before installation, confirm available helm space, power supply, networking requirements, transducer selection and the mounting location for the HALO20+ radar. Existing electronics should also be checked for compatibility with the required NMEA 2000, Ethernet, sonar and other connections.
The main advantage of this configuration is the integration of multiple marine-electronics functions around one 12-inch multifunction display. The NSS12 EVO3S provides charting, GNSS navigation, sonar capability and system networking, while the HALO20+ adds pulse-compression radar, Dual Range operation, rapid close-range scanning and Doppler target information. For boat owners planning a connected helm, this combination provides a practical foundation that can also be expanded with compatible marine electronics.
